Rod has been with HSBC Group for over 30 years, of which 22 was spent with The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.  Rod has a Corporate Banking background and most of his career has been in Real Estate finance.

In May 2004 Rod was appointed HSBC Bank’s UK Head of Real Estate for its Corporate & Structured Banking business and was responsible for strategy and business development.

Since Aug 2008 he has led HSBC UK bank’s risk restructuring and work out team covering large commercial real estate transactions in the corporate book.

Rod is a regular contributor to leading forums on the UK property sector.

Rod is currently Vice President of the Association of Property Bankers and was formerly a UK Board Member of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) and Chair for the Built Environment, Thames Gateway, East London Business Alliance.
